Board Announcement 13 March 2025
The Directors of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (“DutchCham”) would like to update you on the upcoming changes in the Board.
After three years as Chair of the Board of Directors and a previous term as Director, Mrs. Frery Winkel will step down as Chair of DutchCham as of March 31st 2025. She will be succeeded by the current Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the China Committee, Mr. Quinten Kah. Quinten will be succeeded as Vice Chair by Mr. Lapman Lee, currently Director and Chair of the ESG Committee.
During the term of Mrs. Frery Winkel, the Chamber has been confronted with major (global) changes in the business environment of Hong Kong. Under her leadership, the Chamber implemented a range of measures and initiatives to maintain its position as among of the most active and engaging business communities in the City. In the current phase it therefore feels like the right moment for Frery to hand over the position of Chair to Quinten. Quinten has been actively involved in the Chamber for many years, subsequently as member of the China Committee, Chair of the China Committee, Board Director and Vice Chair.
With the appointment of Quinten as the Chair and Lapman as Vice Chair, the Board is confident to continue the development of the Chamber – maximizing the value for its members. At the same time, the Board is highly grateful for the engagement, vision and efforts of Frery in the past three years; much to the benefit of the Chamber and its members.
