Dutch entrepreneurs global survey results

End of March 2020, a survey among 179 Dutch companies worldwide was conducted to get a better insight on the impact of Covid-19 crisis. 

The main findings of this research were the following:

  • Over two third of the respondents fear a (very) high impact on their company financial performance.
  • Top concerns are losing clients/orders (54.5%), there are cash flow shortages (37.5%), IT challenges (35.2%), and supply chain disruptions (30.1%). 
  • Despite implementing sanitary measures and setting up remote working systems, nearly half of respondents expect that their business cannot reopen before May 2020. 
  • 60%of respondents indicate that remote working systems lead to (much) lower operations efficiency.
  • Dutch entrepreneurs abroad want to learn from other Dutch businesses how to succesfully cope with the Covid-19 crisis and all related measures.
  • Dutch Businesses look towards their local Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Business Councils to inspire them in dealing with this crisis situation and lobbying local governments.
