Sales Assistant Internship (Outdoor Furniture Trading)

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Interaction and Product Information Collection:
    • Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers to gather detailed product information from suppliers.
    • Maintain accurate records of product specifications, pricing, and availability.
    • Ensure timely communication with suppliers to address any inquiries or issues.
  2. Supplier Research and Identification:
    • Research potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and identify those that align with our requirements.
    • Maintain an up-to-date database of existing and potential suppliers.
  3. Quotation Preparation:
    • Assist in preparing accurate and competitive quotations for potential clients.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure consistency and alignment with pricing strategies.
    • Participate in crafting responses to tender requests, addressing client-specific requirements.
  4. Sales Presentations and Materials:
    • Organize and compile data for sales presentations.
    • Develop visually appealing presentation formats and materials.
  5. Post-Trade Show Follow-Up:
    • After trade shows or industry events, organize and manage contacts obtained.
    • Send follow-up emails, catalog materials, and additional information to potential clients.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into sales opportunities.
  6. Administrative Support:
    • Assist with order processing, invoicing, and shipping coordination.
    • Handle any administrative tasks related to sales operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • Detail-oriented and organized.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Multilingual abilities (English, French, Chinese, and German) are a plus.

Work Hours & Benefits:

  • Standard work hours: 40hrs/week.
  • Special conditions: Some flexibility for occasional weekend work during trade shows.
